Agile Management: Agile Leadership Practices

The aim of the course is to inspire managers to become more aware of the goals of an agile manager, techniques a manager can use to be more effective in an agile environment and how to inspire others in their organization.

The course is based in the 8 topics in Jurgens book "Management 3.0 : Leading Agile Development and Developing Agile Leaders", which are:

4. Self organization
5. Goals
6. Competence
7. Structure
8. Change management

The course will be in English.

Jurgen Appelo worked as a manager in development organizations for 15 years where he became convinced that an organization needs to change to agile far beyond the development techniques. Those experiences resulted in his book "Management 3.0 : Leading Agile Developers, Developing Agile Leaders" - a book which describes his view on how to lead in an agile environment.

Jurgen now travels and presents his ideas on conferences and is holding courses on the topic across Europe.

Jurgen was also instrumental in starting the network ALE (Agile and Lean Europe), a non-profit network for collaboration of Agile & Lean thinkers and activists across Europe.
